Mothers' Day graduation

Drew's entire extended family was in town this weekend for his cousin Kjell's graduation from Lewis & Clark College. (The keynote speaker happened to be Greg Mortenson, the author of the national bestseller Three Cups of Tea.)

It was fun to see all of them - this group gets together entirely too infrequently - and as always to get multiple generations of cousins together.

We went out to lunch to celebrate and then went out again for dinner with my side of the family for Mothers' Day. Sydney showed her sweetness and thoughtfulness and good listening skills by giving me red wine glasses, as well as Gardening for Dummies ... with a little help from her daddy, I'm sure!

Josiah & Syd play together a bit better these days - at least they realize the other is there now!

The kiddos did pretty okay at the graduation ceremony - maybe it helped that multiple family members took them outside multiple times. =)
