Babies, babies everywhere

There's something in the water. Or maybe these significant life events just tend to happen in waves. In any case, so many new little lives have joined our circle of friends or are posed to do so very soon. Over the spread of just one week, I attended three different baby showers (two in one day, actually)...

Lisa and Paul, good college friends and international traveling buddies of ours, had their second daughter, Emilie Faith, on October 19th. Her big sister Ella is a favorite of Sydney's, so I know she'll be glad for another little playmate.
Jill played basketball at Fox, and Drew and I have enjoyed getting to hang out with her and her husband, Chip, since they moved back to the area. They are expecting their first child, a girl, in late January. (She's the one in white second from the right. What a little round tummy she has!)
I went to high school and college with Kendra; she and Matt are about to welcome their second boy any day now. (I know the name, but I'm not telling...) Their 3-year-old, Jacob, is another buddy of Syd's.

And then, just a few days after the Baby Shower Week ended, our family was thrilled to celebrate the arrival of yet another little one: our good friends Hannah and Merrick welcomed Claire Esther, three days late, but the perfect addition to their little family. Gracie will be such a great big sister.

Congratulations to all our friends who are expanding their families!
