Easter eggs and such

So I really only blog when both of the kids are sleeping. Give you an idea of how long it's been since that happened? Bless the post-dating option.

Easter egg dyeing with Sydney - first time I've felt she was ready for it. We prepped her for a few days to get her excited about the idea and then busted out The Egg Coloring Kit.


It soon became clear that Sydney really had no idea what this whole thing was about. She kept eyeing everything and announcing, "I wanna EAT dem!" Drew facilitated the coloring for her as Sydney kept grabbing for half-dry eggs and finally he cracked a shell and let her have one to chow down. But she just gazed at it, apparently disappointed that the edible part itself was not, in fact, colored.

Ah well. I think 2010 will be the year for Sydney and Easter eggs.
