First haircut

If you by chance have seen Sydney in the past, oh say, 4 weeks or so, you may have noticed that she was in desperate need of some hair help. Besides one trip when she was nine months old for some very minimal shaping and me snipping her bangs from time to time, we'd never had a proper haircut done before. And Syd has lots of hair.

So we took her to see wonderful Katie, our friend Annie's sister. Even though she watched me in the chair first, Syd was not too keen on the whole thing: as we put her smock on, she announced hopefully "All done, mama!" But Katie was great with her and thankfully very quick and now...yay, I can see my kid's eyes again!
