So lately I've been able to flex a bit of cerebral muscle and ramp up my activity in an expertise of mine: wedding coordinating. I've done this here and there for friends who have asked along the years, but lately I've been getting referrals and charging for my services. Which feels nice: contributing to our family in a financial way again.
Plus I just flat out enjoy it. It's a good fit for me, it's an incredible inside perspective to have on such a monumental event in someone's life ... this could be something I try to do more of. Stay tuned (and call me if you're getting married soon). =)

There happen to be wedding bells ringing in my own immediate family right now: Hayley & Michael are rapidly nearing their wedding date. Cindy Kolberg very graciously threw her a shower - so funny to see my little sister opening wedding gifts. Hayley's not one to ooh and aah over shower curtains and pillowcases, you know? But we had a good time and she was very cute. And it's always fun to see my mom's friends. This last photo of Hayley cracks me up: it's so my mom. (Or - alRIGHT - me.)
