Well, you wouldn't want a photo of it in USE, would you?

This industrial-strength breast pump may seem like a weird thing to post a photo of... This blog is months late, so I'm of the advantage now of recalling "what was" back then instead of describing "what is" these days. Thank God, cuz those were some hard times. E and me, we just weren't jiving. Let's just say that this sucker was my best friend and constant companion for the first three months of Elijah's life. Without it, I'm pretty certain nursing wouldn't have worked out for us. Lordy, the hours and hours I spent attached to this thing...

It may be a lifeless, skim-over photo for many of you, and that's fine. But it speaks volumes to me.

not a lifeless, skim-over photo to ME, that's for sure. Was it worth it?

It was. Because now we're past it and he's eating great and he'll have all the benefits of nursing. But there was sacrifice involved.
