Cruisin!

For their 30th anniversary, Mom & Dad celebrated by taking all of us on a Caribbean cruise! We had a great time and sunny weather. Sydney did pretty great, and there were so many family members to share "Sydney duty" that Drew and I felt like we were able to take off and see and so stuff we wouldn't normally be able to do with one-year-old in tow. I am not the strongest stomach, however, and was feeling squeamish for a lot of it. But the port days were fun - we saw St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Princess Cays.

Thanks for such a great trip, Mom & Dad!

Nice when your own family members are in back of you on a long flight so the little face popping up incessantly doesn't grow old quite as fast. (This trip was the preordained last of the binky. After that, we took it away cold turkey and simply claimed we "left it on the boat." She doesn't go down quite as easy now, but overall, she did fine with it and we've avoided the future possible stigma of having a four-year-old with a pacifier in her mouth.)

One of the greatest parts about departing out of Florida was that we got to see our Aunt Kathy who lives in Miami! Great to spend some time with her. Can you see the family resemblance?

Not too shabby to be lying out in the sun in late January

Drew and I had never been on a cruise before - dressing up every night for dinner is different, but kind of fun.

What a gorgeous place!
